World Science Festival 2009
The second annual World Science Festival opens today in NYC for four days of unadulterated science fun. The goal of the festival? To bring science out of the lab and into the streets, museums and theaters of New York City.
Stars like Harrison Ford, Alan Alda, Glenn Close and Anna Deavere Smith will appear in tonight's opening night gala at the Alice Tully Hall Honoring the Life and Legacy of E.O. Wilson, America's beloved expolorer of the natural world, and recognized by many to be the father of the environmental movement.
The four day festival will weave music,
dance, film and science together in unexpected ways, with events aimed to entertain, inform and inspire adults and kids.
