The Renewable Planet is a free and accessible resource that highlights the number and variety of renewable energy projects from around the world. This site is a gateway to a world of information on renewable energy.

How to use the site

As a student, homeowner, researcher or business person you can easily access information on projects that create power from the sun, wind, biomass, geothermal, small hydroelectric and ocean energy.

Search for projects by location, energy type, project size, building type or the exact project name. Then view the projects by selecting a project on the map or by clicking on a project listed on the left side of the screen.

Search examples

  1. Find renewable energy projects in Hawaii. Look at the map and click on the United States icon. Select Hawaii from the drop down menu of American States. Click on the search button.
  2. Find biomass projects around the world. Choose biomass by unselecting the solar, wind and other check boxes. Click on the search button.
  3. Find solar energy projects at schools. Click on more filters button. Click on facility type and choose Education. Choose solar by unselecting the wind biomass and other check boxes. Click on the search button.
